One day, in art class, I accidentally dropped a huge ink blob on some artwork. Mom, being the art teacher said, "Katherine, don't get upset, just incorporate that blob into your design," and I do. 

Today, I am working with oils and learning some new things from the younger artists online. Technology and technique have changed so much now, that it's a challenge to change my old habits. Old ways move out of the way. It's time to change! 

Interesting faces that have lived through moments of life that I have not known; vibrant colors and shapes of tropical fish and the beautiful exotic birds; ocean waves; textures of buildings; the combination of unusual objects; children's faces and their joyful activities.
